Storage Lots

QUALITY -> Storage Lots

Packed fruit stored in the coolstore can be tested, eg pre-shipment inspections. Both grade and pest findings are recorded.

Adding a lot

To add a lot click the Add button at the top of the page.

  • Description - name of the storage lot.
  • Sample date - date sampled.
  • Type - type of lot, ie pre-shipment inspection, etc.
  • Comments - any comments.

Results tab

The results page provides a summary of the grade and pest findings along with varieties and production sites sampled.

Note

There are 2 extra fields for 42 day pre-shipment inspection; Cleared for N Alba? and Cleared for M. Fructicola?. These drive some declarations, basically adding 14 days to all cartons in store for all product from the same production site

Once sampling is complete for the lot, press the Sign button. This will put a signature on the reports. Digital signatures can be uploaded in Setup -> Users.

Samples tab

This lists each of the cartons sampled against the lot and allows you to click through to edit the sample as required.

Cartons can be added to the sample by pressing Add sample

General tab

  • Carton - this is the carton number.
  • Pallet - pallet number the carton is on.
  • Qty. sampled - number of fruit in the carton.
  • Comments - any comments.

Defects tab

This page offers a list of defects that can be clicked (or touched) to count up your findings. Right click to decrease the count by 1.

The toolbar allows you to filter for:

  • All defects,
  • Only Pest defects,
  • Only Grade defects,
  • Only defects that have been Found in this sample,
  • Only defects that have been marked as Favourites. Favourites are saved for all users using this screen.

Quantity multiplier - select how many findings are added (or removed) whenever you click a defect. Note that the quantity can never go below zero so if you need to quickly clear out a counter simple select the -10 option.

Tip

The Search box in the toolbar offers a very quick way to filter the defect list. Just type a couple of letters to target the defects you're looking for.

Note

You can maintain the master list of defects by selecting the Setup -> Defects drop-down menu on the QUALITY -> QC Lots page.

Photos tab

Allows you to store photos against this sample.

Reports menu

The Reports menu allows you to view the lot report.
