What is snapPacking?

snapPacking is software for organisations who pack fruit and other produce prior to dispatching to market.

New Zealand Apples and Pears

snapPacking heritage is in the New Zealand fruit industry. It offers specialised support for apple industry standards such as:

  • importing product and lookup codes from published master-data;
  • importing stock-on-hand and transfer XML files;
  • importing orchard registrations and compliance market status from Pipfruit NZ;
  • the Pipfruit NZ market declaration system for ensuring produce suitability for export markets.

Historical fact - We wrote many of the above standards. We also designed the market declaration system for the NZ Apple and Pear industry and MPI in 2012.

Heritage

snapPacking is a major revision of the software platform built by Computer Solution Engineering for managing produce packing. Earlier versions of snapPacking have been supporting large volume post-harvest organisations since 1999 and have handled over a quarter of a million tonnes of produce during that time!

snapPacking combines the latest web technologies with decades of experience building software for the produce industry (orchards, cropping, packing, coolstores, and sales).

The snapPacking team work with clients in the produce industry every day. We are familiar with many of the operational issues you might encounter and have the ability to customise snapPacking to your specific needs.
