    Reject samples

    QUALITY -> Reject samples

Rejected fruit may be sampled at regular intervals to record the defects causing fruit to be rejected. The main list shows runs that are currently active on the selected packing line. To see older runs, click Show inactive runs at the top of the list.

Select the packing line from the drop-down list at the top of the page.

Select a run to see a list of samples that have been taken for the run.

    Tip

If you have more that one packing line you can change between them by clicking on the name of the packing line at the top of the page.

    Adding a reject sample

After selecting the appropriate run, click the Add button to create a new sample.

    • QC location - where the sample was taken. QC Locations can be maintained from the Setup drop-down menu on the main Reject samples page.
    • # of fruit sampled - number of fruit in the sample.
    • Comments - other observations about this sample.

    Defects tab

This page offers a list of defects that can be clicked (or touched) to count up your findings. Right click to decrease the count by 1. Defects can be maintained from the Setup drop-down menu on the main Reject samples page.

The toolbar allows you to filter for:

    • All defects,
    • Only Pest defects,
    • Only Grade defects,
    • Only defects that have been Found in this sample,
    • Only defects that have been marked as Favourites. Favourites are saved for all users using this screen.

Quantity multiplier - select how many findings are added (or removed) whenever you click a defect. Note that the quantity can never go below zero so if you need to quickly clear out a counter simple select the -10 option.

    Tip

The Search box in the toolbar offers a very quick way to filter the defect list. Just type a couple of letters to target the defects you're looking for.

    Note

If a piece of fruit has been rejected for no reason, do not record as a defect (as any defect will be shown on the grower reports), the Acceptable percentage will show on the Reject samples page.

    Photos tab

Allows you to store photos against this sample.

    Reports

On each run's reject sample page there is a Reports drop-down menu which includes:

    • Run defect report
    Note

Grower run reports also include a page summarising the reject sample findings.
